The Woman Entrepreneur Conference

The Woman Entrepreneur -- A Conference to Explore Entrepreneurship for Women is designed to help educate women at UC Merced and in the local community about the benefits of entrepreneurship and offer help to anyone who has an idea for a business and/or is interested in starting a business.

The conference is free and open to everyone, including students, staff ad faculty members and people in the greater Merced community.

The conference takes place from 1-4 p.m. Sept. 12 in KL 355 on the UC Merced campus. Registration is from 12:30-1 p.m.

The day's events include:
* A 30-minute panel review with current UC Merced Venture Lab female entrepreneurs;
* Guest speaker Lenore Estrada of Three Babes Bakeshop, a California success story;
* Guest speaker Carrie Norton of Green Business Base Camp, an established and successful entrepreneur; and
* a breakout session with local entrepreneur mentors

The UC Merced Venture Lab invites everyone to participate and see how working with other like-minded women can propel your success.

Appetizers and refreshments will be served.
