The UC Merced community is deeply saddened by the senseless and tragic deaths of six UC Santa Barbara students during a shooting rampage this weekend. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families and friends of the students who were killed and injured in this attack.
A fund for families of the victims has been established through the Santa Barbara Foundation. For those who want to contribute, you can do so online.
This is a time of deep shock and grief for everyone affected by this tragedy. Please take a moment of silence or prayer in honor of those who died, for the healing of those who were injured and to console those who grieve.
