Signature Coordination Form
Please use the Signature Coordination Form to accompany any documents for which you are requesting the chancellor's signature. This form provides important information that helps our office determine whether the document has been properly vetted and ready for the chancellor's signature. Due to the chancellor's very busy schedule, please expect this process to take up to one week.
Once you have completed the Signature Coordination Form with the appropriate provost or vice chancellor signature, please submit it electronically to Molly Elazier along with the document to be signed.
The Office of the Chancellor will review the request and return the document to the contact person identified on the form.

Discretionary Funding Request Form
Please complete the funding request form completely.
Section I.
Complete the Requestor information & Amount Requested.
Section II.
Explain thoroughly why funding is needed from the Chancellor’s Discretionary Fund and why the cost cannot be covered from existing funding sources. Elaborate on how this requests fulfills the University's mission of teaching, research and public service, along with your plans for covering these costs in the future since this source is intended one-time funding for unexpected costs.
Steps to follow:
- Fill out the Funding Request Form.
- Requestor should sign form either electronically or in hard copy. Appropriate vice chancellor or dean should sign request either electronically or in hard copy. Requests from students or student organizations should be signed by the Dean of Students.
- Form is submitted to Cori Lucero, Assistant Chancellor & Chief of Staff (corilucero@ucmerced.edu) for review and further vetting as necessary.
- Request should be forwarded to Planning & Budgeting office to ensure discretionary funding is available.
- If funding is available the request will be presented to the Chancellor for approval, along with updated funding status for discretionary funds.
- Requestor will be notified by Chancellor's Office of outcome via e-mail with a cc: to VC/Dean who signed along with Planning & Budgeting office.
- Cori Lucero (corilucero@ucmerced.edu) will identify an appropriate funding source and coordinate the fund transfer with requestor's Business Officer.
- Planning & Budgeting office will transfer the requested funds.
