Dear Colleagues,
I am excited to announce UC Merced’s first-ever comprehensive fundraising campaign, “Boldly Forward: The Campaign for UC Merced.” In concert with our first strategic plan and our new “first. further. forward.” branding initiative, Boldly Forward will elevate everything we do at UC Merced by raising $100 million by 2030.
We recently recorded our most successful three-year fundraising period ever in the university’s history, including a transformational gift from philanthropist and author MacKenzie Scott and her husband Dan Jewett. We will continue to build on the unprecedented momentum as we head into our Boldy Forward campaign. We are planning a series of events during the fall to celebrate this momentous occasion, including a donor kickoff event in late October, and a staff and faculty event in November.
