UC Merced celebrates Pride Month, and the diversity, inclusivity, and rich culture it brings to our community.
We celebrate our LGBTQ+ community and commit to provide a safe space, one that promotes human dignity and respect, and models a society of unity, acceptance, and equity in all aspects. We do this not only during Pride Month, but daily, acknowledging that our community respects every member as an equal, with empathetic care and protection for those who may feel their lives and liberties are under attack. We stand in solidarity and as allies to our fellow Bobcats as a safe space to live authentic lives.
We are proud to live in a community where our staff, faculty, and students can join in the downtown Pride Flag raising ceremony. We are excited to participate again this year in the San Francisco Pride Parade on June 30.
Celebrating our LGBTQ+ community is in alignment with our core Principles of Community , but it is who we are as Bobcats at our core. We are one community, united, and proud.
